Role Purpose
The Senior Client Manager will provide high-quality technical, research and administrative support to the firm's Senior Financial Advisers, helping to ensure that clients receive a professional, efficient and compliant financial planning service.
The role will involve attending all client meetings with the Senior Financial Advisers at which the Senior Client Manager will be responsible for taking suitable meeting notes to complete any post-meeting work. Following the meeting, the Senior Client Manager will be responsible for researching financial planning solutions, completing the post meeting fact find and preparing relevant suitability and recommendation reports, undertaking product and investment research, maintaining accurate client records and supporting the implementation and ongoing servicing of client recommendations.
Prior to client meetings, the Senior Client Manager will be responsible for completing and/or delegating to the Client Manager all pre-meeting preparation inclusive of investment research, quotations and key advice points to be discussed at the meeting.
The Senior Client Manager will be directly authorized and therefore be able to provide financial advice to clients in the absence of the Senior Financial Adviser. The Senior Client Manager will also have the ability to take on their own clients.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of financial planning principles, excellent attention to detail and organization in addition to producing communication to clients that provides an accurate representation of discussions in language that is easy to understand. The successful candidate will be expected to develop strong working relationships with Clients, Financial Advisers, Administrators, Compliance and other members of the team, while always maintaining a high standard of professionalism and client confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Technical Support
- Attend all client meetings with their appointed Senior Financial Advisers
- Provide advice packs ahead of the client meeting to present to the Senior Financial Adviser highlighting key advice and discussion areas.
- Provide technical and research support to the Senior Financial Advisers in relation to client cases.
- Alongside the client manager, research and analyse financial planning strategies and potential solutions.
- Alongside the client manager, research investment, pension, ISA, protection and other financial planning products where appropriate.
- Alongside the client manager, analyse existing client arrangements and identify relevant planning considerations for the Adviser.
- Obtain and review information from product providers and other relevant sources.
- Assist Senior Financial Advisers and Client Managers with pension, investment, tax and estate planning research where appropriate to the firm's service proposition.
- Carry out relevant calculations and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
- Alongside the client manager, review and update cash-flow modelling and other financial planning analysis where required.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant financial products, legislation and industry developments

Qualifications
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning working towards Level 6 Chartered Status.
- Commitment to maintaining and developing technical knowledge.
- Relevant technical or financial planning qualifications. The firm will support appropriate employees in undertaking relevant professional qualifications and continuing professional development through financial support and paid leave for study time/study courses.
