Company Description
KB Associates (Europe) Limited (KBAE) is a specialist subsea consultancy focused on delivering world-class diving support services, backed by decades of industry experience. The company provides a full suite of IMCA DESIGN audits using IMCA ADSI Accredited auditors, covering both diving and ROV equipment requirements. KBAE supports operators through qualified diving client site representatives and senior client representatives who act as the “eyes and ears” of the operator offshore. The company also offers diving technical authority and subject matter expert services, contractor management audits, and verification/assurance audits of contractor management systems and equipment. In addition, KBAE assists diving contractors with the IMCA membership application process, helping ensure compliance and robust safety standards.
Role Description
The Senior Client Safety Representative is a contract role based on-site in Aberdeen, supporting client operations within the diving and subsea environment. This role acts as the primary safety interface between the operator and contractors, monitoring day-to-day diving activities, verifying compliance with relevant standards, and ensuring that safety procedures are consistently applied.

Responsibilities include:
- Attending and contributing to operational planning meetings
- Conducting site-based observations and audits
- Reviewing risk assessments and method statements
- Preparing clear, concise safety reports for the client

The Senior Client Safety Representative will provide real-time advice on safety and technical issues, escalate concerns appropriately, and help drive continuous improvement in contractor safety performance and operational assurance.
Qualifications
- Strong background in diving operations, subsea projects, or offshore safety, with experience acting as a client representative or similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in safety management systems, risk assessment, and assurance/audit processes within the offshore or marine industry.
- Thorough understanding of IMCA guidelines and standards, and familiarity with IMCA DESIGN audits, contractor management audits, or related compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to prepare clear safety reports, review technical documentation, and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications in diving supervision, offshore safety, or HSE (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site, challenge unsafe practices constructively, and build trust with operators and contractors.
- Previous experience working in or with North Sea operations, and the ability to work in Aberdeen on a contract basis.
- Willingness to adhere to all company and client safety policies, and commitment to maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
