The role would suit psychologists who are passionate about supporting people who have experienced social and political marginalisation. • Contribute to team leadership and co-lead on operational delivery and oversight of pathways.
  • Undertake referral screening, demand and capacity management, audit and outcome monitoring, clinical governance, and provide senior duty cover to the psychology team.
  • Lead on digital innovations including electronic patient record developments, website and social media content, and development, implementation and evaluation of new technologies.
  • Use co-production, patient experience and outcome data to improve the accessibility, acceptability and quality of services, with particular attention to health inequalities and barriers experienced by underserved communities.
  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention, including treatment planning, implementation and systematic monitoring of clinical outcomes.
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate.
  • Manage and supervise a newly created assistant psychologist role.
  • Undertake service evaluation, audit and research.
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Psychologist and senior team on agreed service priorities and outcomes and support the implementation with the team.

The psychology team forms part of CNWL's integrated, multidisciplinary HIV and Sexual Health services, working closely alongside doctors, nurses, health advisers, peer support workers, healthcare support workers, customer care and administrative staff in providing holistic care to patients. The team provides training placements for clinical and counselling psychology trainees as well as trainee psychosexual therapists.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
