Melber Flinn is supporting an established independent fertility provider with the appointment of an experienced Senior Clinical Embryologist.
This is an opportunity to join a respected specialist service where scientific excellence, patient safety and compassionate care are central to the delivery of fertility treatment.
The successful candidate will combine hands-on clinical embryology with responsibility for maintaining high laboratory standards, supporting colleagues and contributing to the continued development of the service.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing and overseeing a comprehensive range of clinical embryology and assisted reproduction procedures.
- Applying advanced embryology techniques, including ICSI, embryo biopsy and cryopreservation.
- Ensuring consistently high standards of laboratory practice, patient safety and traceability.
- Maintaining accurate records in accordance with regulatory and quality-management requirements.
- Supporting quality assurance, audit, validation and continuous-improvement activity.
- Contributing to the effective operation and ongoing development of the laboratory.
- Training, supervising and mentoring less-experienced embryologists and laboratory colleagues.
- Working collaboratively with clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Supporting the introduction and evaluation of new techniques, protocols and technologies.
- Participating in the laboratory rota, including some weekend working.

About you
We are looking for an experienced embryologist who can demonstrate:
- Current HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
- A relevant life-science, biomedical or reproductive-science qualification.
- Substantial post-registration experience within an HFEA-licensed IVF laboratory.
- Competence across core and advanced clinical embryology procedures.
- Practical experience of embryo biopsy.
- A sound understanding of HFEA regulations, clinical governance and laboratory quality systems.
- Experience supporting, supervising or developing junior colleagues.
- Excellent attention to detail and a rigorous approach to documentation and traceability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute confidently within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
- A flexible, collaborative and patient-focused approach.

Further postgraduate or professional qualifications would be welcomed, as would experience of audit, research, training, protocol development or the introduction of new laboratory practices.
