We are looking for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurology who will be based at Royal Preston Hospital. This post is a fixed-term post, initially for 12 months.
You will be expected to participate in the neurology registrar on-call rota. It will enable you to gain experience in clinical neurology in a supportive environment. Significant clinical learning opportunities are available, with weekly clinical and academic meetings, case presentations, and frequent clinical teaching. Although this is not a formal training post, you will be allocated an educational supervisor.

- To work with the neurology education lead to deliver high quality neurology education to medical students from University of Manchester, based at Royal Preston Hospital.
- Undertake up to three outpatient clinics a week at Royal Preston Hospital and peripheral hospitals, under consultant supervision.
- Management of inpatients in the regional neurology ward based at Royal Preston Hospital.
Modern Education Centres are based at both Royal Preston and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital sites and offer excellent library and study facilities, including PC/Internet support for staff and students.
As a teaching hospital, we encourage all our staff to participate in teaching and training at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We are committed to developing our teaching and academic activities and can facilitate meeting any training needs for these roles.
