Role Description
This full-time, on-site Senior Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Solicitor role at Advantage Solicitors is based in London, Palmers Green.
The solicitor will manage a caseload of complex clinical negligence and personal injury matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial, including drafting letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to experts and counsel.
Responsibilities
- Assessing liability and quantum
- Reviewing and interpreting medical records
- Obtaining expert medical evidence
- Advising clients on prospects, risks, and case strategy
The role involves attending conferences with counsel and experts, court hearings, settlement meetings, and mediations, while ensuring compliance with procedural rules, limitation periods, and quality standards.

The solicitor will also supervise junior team members, contribute to internal training, support business development initiatives, and help refine internal processes to improve efficiency and client service.

Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written advocacy, client care, and the ability to explain complex legal and medical issues in accessible terms.
- Sound understanding of Medicine relevant to clinical negligence and personal injury, with the ability to analyze medical records and work effectively with medical experts.
- Experience delivering Training and mentoring to junior solicitors, paralegals, or support staff within a litigation or clinical negligence setting.
- Proven Research and Clinical Research abilities to investigate claims, evaluate medical literature, and support robust case preparation and strategy.
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in clinical negligence and personal injury litigation.
- Demonstrated experience managing high-value and complex cases, including negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Commitment to ethical practice, client-centered service, and continuous professional development.
