NHS Tayside’s Women, Children and Families Pharmacy Team are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic and supportive service on a maternity cover basis. This role provides the chance to work across Paediatric, Neonatal and Obstetric clinical areas, contributing to high-quality pharmaceutical care for our patients.
About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our friendly team. You will work as part of a passionate group dedicated to delivering safe, effective and person-centred care of the highest standard.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with our Paediatric, Neonatal, Obstetric and Gynaecology multidisciplinary teams. You will have the opportunity to work closely alongside the Paediatric Formulary Pharmacist, contributing to guideline development and supporting the delivery of this exciting new project. Your clinical insights and frontline experience will help inform safe, practical and patient-focused paediatric medicines guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical pharmaceutical care across Women, Children and Families services.
- Work closely with Paediatric, Neonatal and Obstetric MDTs to ensure safe and effective medicines use.
- Use your prescribing qualification (or work towards its use) to support patient care in appropriate clinical areas.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement within the WCF Pharmacy team.
- Support professional development activities aligned to your job plan and the four pillars of advanced practice.

Support and Development
The successful candidate will be well supported within the Women, Children and Families team and line managed by the Lead Clinical Pharmacist. You will have a structured job plan and dedicated time to develop across all elements of advanced practice.
Qualifications And Skills
- Dynamic team player with excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Registered Independent Prescriber, or currently working towards the qualification.

The post holder will be required to contribute to weekend and public holiday rotas as per service requirements. All applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
