About the Company
A niche, rapidly scaling European CRO is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior CPM for a 12-month interim assignment to direct complex, multi-country clinical trials.
About the Role
This assignment is tailored for an independent consultant who excels at stepping into active pipelines, steering cross-functional study teams, and leading high-level sponsor interactions across Oncology, Immuno-Oncology, and Advanced Biologics trials.
Responsibilities
- Drive 12-Month Milestone Execution: Take operational ownership of Phase I–III multi-center oncology/biologics studies, driving study timelines, risk mitigations, and protocol delivery from startup through database lock.
- Biopharma Account Governance: Act as the primary operational interface to biotech and mid-sized pharma clients—leading status reviews, governance meetings, and strategic updates.
- Matrix Team Steering: Lead cross-functional study teams, field CRAs, central labs, and specialty vendors across multiple European jurisdictions.
- Complex Protocol Logistics: Oversee protocol execution involving specialized biomarker tracking, tissue/liquid biopsy workflows, and complex safety escalations.
- Audit Readiness & GCP Compliance: Maintain 100% inspection readiness across assigned trial networks, ensuring strict compliance with MHRA, EMA, and ICH-GCP frameworks.

Experience
- 7+ Years contracting/freelancing experience as a CPM / CTM: Direct operational leadership experience within a CRO environment.
- Therapeutic Focus: Proven track record in Oncology, Immuno-Oncology, or Targeted Biologics protocols.
- Proven Freelance / Independent Mindset: Experience stepping into active pipelines and integrating quickly with zero ramp-up delay.
- Sponsor-Facing Leadership: Success in client-facing governance and managing sponsor expectations.
