An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Research and Innovation Division at The Christie. We are looking to appoint a Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator to the gynaecology clinical research delivery teams within The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual, who is able to demonstrate significant work experience in clinical trials coordination and data management involving clinical trials or project coordination, as well as a good understanding of clinical research, GCP, and clinical governance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to sustain and improve an excellent level of service provision from a trial site perspective for our research partners.
- Act as a key coordinator for the gynaecology Research team to proactively ensure the provision of a high quality and efficient administrative service.
- Focus on a range of phase 1-3 research and require the set up and coordination of complex clinical trials.
- Provide managerial and leadership support to the senior R&I management and clinical research staff.
- Ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and all other relevant requirements.
- Opportunities to lead service development projects within the team and the wider R&I division.

Requirements:
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Ability to work well both in a team and using their own initiative.
- Good leadership skills that will promote an environment of quality and learning.
- Hold a scientific or business-based degree, or have relevant experience in scientific and medical research.

The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, looking after more than 64,000 patients a year. We are based in Manchester and serve a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 25% patients are referred to us from other parts of the country.
We are the largest radiotherapy provider in the NHS with one in 20 treatments delivered at The Christie. We have up to 15 linear accelerators operating across our network of sites. We operate the largest chemotherapy unit in the UK on our main site and treatments are also provided at 13 other networked sites, and in patients homes. And as a specialist tertiary surgical centre, we focus on rare cancers, complex procedures, and multidisciplinary approaches to cancer surgery, specialising in colorectal, peritoneal, gynaecological, urological and plastic surgery.
