Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Contract Inside IR35

Hybrid (3 days onsite in London)

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to take ownership of building and evolving observability capabilities across a large-scale AWS platform. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing telemetry pipelines, improving platform visibility, and enabling engineering teams to operate highly reliable Kubernetes-based services.

  • Strong AWS experience, particularly with cloud-native infrastructure
  • Hands-on Kubernetes/EKS administration in production environments
  • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Observability tooling including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Experience building monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing solutions
  • Strong Linux and networking knowledge
  • CI/CD, automation, and scripting (Python or Bash)
  • Experience working in high-availability, mission-critical production environments

You'll be responsible for:

  • Building and enhancing cloud observability platforms
  • Instrumenting applications and infrastructure with metrics, logs, and traces
  • Creating dashboards, alerts, and SLO-driven monitoring
  • Improving platform reliability, automation, and operational excellence
  • Working closely with platform and software engineering teams to support production systems
