Hands on platform engineering role with a strong security focus at a scaling fintech

Location

Remote - Applicants must already be living in the UK with the correct right to work.

About Our Client

Our client builds a data platform used by financial services firms to process and act on time sensitive market information at speed. They've recently secured significant new investment to accelerate growth, and engineering is scaling across the board.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join a small, experienced engineering team and take genuine ownership across their AWS platform.

This is first and foremost a hands on engineering role. You'll work across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps and CI/CD, helping build, operate and improve the infrastructure behind a modern financial technology platform.

Security is also an important part of the position. You won't need to be a dedicated Security Engineer or come with deep governance and compliance experience, but you should understand how to build and operate secure cloud infrastructure and be comfortable taking ownership of security related engineering work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
