Reports to: CTO
Job Purpose:
As a Senior Cloud & Data Security Architect, you will be a recognised technical leader and trusted advisor, shaping security strategy and delivering innovative security solutions for enterprise customers. Acting as a senior escalation point and subject matter expert, you will bridge the gap between technical implementation and business outcomes, influencing stakeholders at all levels by translating complex security risks into clear, actionable business decisions.
Working within a Microsoft-centric Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP), you will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud, data, and AI security solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and the wider Microsoft Security portfolio. You will help customers strengthen their security posture through the adoption of modern security architectures, Zero Trust principles, data protection strategies, and advanced threat defence capabilities.
This is a highly visible role combining strategic consulting, technical leadership, solution architecture, and customer engagement. You will lead workshops, guide transformation programmes, and work directly with technical teams, security leaders, and executive stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, and compliant cloud environments.
As a senior member of the consulting practice, you will remain at the forefront of Microsoft innovation, evaluating emerging technologies, preview capabilities, and next-generation security controls. Experience in securing and governing AI-driven solutions, including Copilot, Security Copilot, Generative AI applications, and agentic AI workflows, will be highly advantageous as organisations increasingly adopt autonomous and AI-assisted technologies.
Using a combination of hands-on expertise, architectural vision, and industry best practice, you will help customers solve complex security challenges across cloud, data, identity, and AI domains. You will collaborate closely with sales, service delivery, engineering, and Microsoft teams to create secure outcomes that enable business growth while managing risk.

The Role will Involve:
This is a dual role. Within Professional Services, you will be the Lead Cloud Security Architect in a customer-facing position, delivering secure Microsoft cloud solutions to our clients and making sure security and privacy are built in by design. Alongside this, reporting directly to the CTO you will provide technical leadership and expertise to ITC's internal Product and Platform function, shaping how our services and platforms are developed.

- Act as a trusted advisor to VP and C-level stakeholders on security solutions and enterprise security programmes, and manage those relationships.
- Lead technical discussions that help clients align security strategy with business goals, and accelerate their Cloud and Data security efforts across the board.
- Advise clients on securing M365, Microsoft Azure Cloud, cyber security and UC platforms. This includes mapping requirements to best-in-class implementations, selecting the most appropriate solutions, and evaluating non-functional attributes such as security, usability, portability and stability.
Customer Delivery, Architecture & Technical Specialisms
- Take part in customer engagements across the full project lifecycle, performing discovery, analysis, design, build, test and deployment of Microsoft security, compliance and identity (SCI) solutions.
- Support customers with migrations from incumbent technologies (e.g. CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Proofpoint) to Microsoft security solutions.
- Co-lead multiple parts of engagement delivery with project owners. Provide technical oversight so that delivery meets client requirements, and support the delivery team when facing challenges.
- Design and build Microsoft security reference architectures for public, private and hybrid cloud-based systems.
- Deliver technical reviews of cloud security architecture against strategic cloud security frameworks.
- Guide customers on zero trust and SASE, from technical gap analysis through to a clear path to implementation.
- Apply Data Lifecycle Management techniques and approaches enabled by Microsoft Purview.
- Design and implement cloud-based Identity Management with Microsoft Entra ID.
- Work with customers to discover, design and implement data management solutions.
- Develop and deliver user stories and use cases. Work with interdependent engineers and solution architects to produce technical requirements and identify related business benefits.
Sales & Partner Support
- Support the sales team with expert customer guidance, and proactively identify up-sell opportunities to maintain the commercial attractiveness of ITC's Professional and Managed Services.
- Contribute to marketing and Microsoft channel activity, including:
- Collateral, blogs and webinars
- Speaking at events
- Discussions with Microsoft sellers
- Delivery of Microsoft workshops
Team Leadership & Innovation
- Coach, lead and direct the team of consultants, providing technical, process and service leadership and making sure deliverables are on time and to the expected quality.
- Spearhead ITC's development of solution offerings with and for Agentic AI.
- Keep ITC at the leading edge of Microsoft's SCI roadmap by engaging with Microsoft product teams and doing ongoing platform research. Share best practice across the team.
- Advise executive management on current and emerging technologies that can increase security, reduce costs, improve performance and availability, and reduce administration time.
Skills & Experience:
We are Looking for Someone With:
- A strong foundation across the Microsoft Security solution stack, including on-premise, endpoint, Azure based solutions and Purview.
- Proven experience with Data Lifecycle Management techniques and approaches enabled by Microsoft Purview
- Cloud-based Identity Management with Microsoft Entra ID
- Hands-on experience of discovery, analysis, design, build, test and deployment of Microsoft SCI solutions
- Good working knowledge of zero trust and SASE concepts, including technical gap analysis and implementation planning
- A flair for communicating innovative cloud approaches and their benefits to clients, understanding their underlying business needs and goals, and giving expert advice to help resolve complex business problems
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience or hold some or all of the following certifications, or be willing to achieve them:
- SC-100 (Cybersecurity Architect)
- SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst)
- SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator)
- SC-401 (Information Security Administrator)
- AZ-500 (retired) / SC-500 (Cloud & AI Security Engineer)
- MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator)
- MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert)
- AZ-104 (Azure Administrator)
- AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect)
- CISSP
- Knowledge of security standards like CIS, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR and Cyber Essentials
- Understanding compliance and regulatory requirements related to data security
- Experience delivering Microsoft focused pre-sales discovery engagements with customers
- Demonstrate working in Agile environment
- Degree level qualification or equivalent
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage priorities and multi-task
- Experience of, and comfort with, public speaking to support customer seminars or events
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Cloud Security offerings
- Experience with Microsoft, Google and Amazon cloud environments

Working Hours:
- Normal working hours are 7.5 hours a day - Monday – Friday.
Working Location:
ITC have offices in Canary Wharf however operate in a hybrid working model. Close proximity to London is necessary for any onsite engagements.
