About The Role
Triad Group Plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C# Developer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of sophisticated software solutions used across public sector projects and beyond. As a Senior C# Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications using the .NET Core framework, alongside associated web frameworks such as React, Blazer, or Angular. Your expertise will be pivotal in translating complex requirements into scalable and efficient software solutions that meet high standards of quality and security.
Operating within a culture that values autonomy and innovation, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams—including designers, product managers, and other developers—to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions. Your work will directly impact national security, environmental monitoring, public safety, and other critical sectors, making your role both challenging and rewarding. The position offers flexibility, with opportunities to work remotely or based at our offices in Godalming or Milton Keynes, depending on project needs and personal preference.

This role requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest industry trends, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold best practices in software development. The successful candidate must be eligible for SC clearance or willing to achieve it, with a minimum residency requirement of five years in the UK and the right to work within the country.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess relevant academic qualifications such as a degree or master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, complemented by substantial practical experience in software development. Proven expertise as a C# Developer or in a similar role is essential, with a strong command of the C# programming language and the .NET framework, including .NET Core. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as experience working with web frameworks like React, Blazer, or Angular, is highly desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), and ORM frameworks like Entity Framework. Experience working within Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred, along with excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are vital, as is the capacity to work independently and diligently deliver high-quality work. Holding current SC-level security clearance or the ability to obtain it is mandatory for this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain C# applications, components, and systems to meet project requirements and technical standards.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and fellow developers to understand project scope and deliver innovative solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to development guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, resolving issues promptly to optimize performance and reliability.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, tools, and technologies in web development and software engineering to continually enhance your skill set.
- Document technical specifications, code, and system architectures to facilitate maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to refining development processes and methodologies, promoting continuous improvement and best practices within the team.
