The Role

We're looking for a highly analytical and proactive Senior Collections Insight Analyst to provide insight into customer behaviour and Collections performance. Working closely with the Collections Management team, you'll use data and analysis to identify trends, understand root causes and highlight opportunities to improve performance.

You'll play a key role in delivering regular and ad-hoc reporting, conducting deep-dive analysis and supporting tactical and strategic decision-making across Collections. This is a varied role where strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive analysis of Collections performance, identifying positive and negative trends and their root causes.
  • Work with the Collections Management team to investigate performance issues and conduct deep-dive analysis to test and validate hypotheses.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Collections performance, including highlighting priority customer groups and areas for targeted activity.
  • Produce regular management reports and meaningful commentary to provide clear visibility of performance and support effective decision-making.
  • Monitor champion/challenger trials and assess their impact on Collections performance.
  • Work collaboratively across functions, sharing best practice and developing the tools and skills required to deliver effective analysis.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven experience in Collections, consumer risk, finance, data analysis or a similar analytical environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and make logical connections.
  • Experience producing clear, concise reports and translating complex data into meaningful insight.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy, integrity and getting things right first time.
  • Experience using SAS, SQL and Excel; knowledge of Python, R or data visualisation tools such as Tableau would be desirable.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to question, challenge, take initiative and work effectively with stakeholders across different departments.
