Job Title: Commercial Account Handler

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Location: Leicestershire (Hybrid Working)

PURPOSE OF ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join a growing and highly respected insurance brokerage. Working within a collaborative Commercial Broking team, you'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional service to a varied portfolio of commercial clients while supporting Account Executives across all aspects of policy administration and client servicing. This role offers exposure to a broad range of commercial risks and provides excellent opportunities to further develop your technical knowledge within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments, policy amendments and general policy administration.
  • Provide a high level of service to commercial clients, ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Liaise with insurers to obtain quotations, negotiate terms and arrange policy documentation.
  • Support Account Executives with the day-to-day management of commercial client portfolios.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with FCA regulations and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Handle incoming client queries by telephone and email.
  • Process renewals, new business, MTAs and policy documentation.
  • Obtain quotations from insurers and present suitable solutions.
  • Maintain accurate client records using the broking system.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless client service.
  • Prioritise workloads effectively within a busy commercial environment.
  • Support the retention and growth of existing client accounts.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working as a Commercial Account Handler or within a similar commercial broking role.
  • Good knowledge of commercial insurance products and policy administration.
  • Experience dealing with renewals, MTAs and day-to-day servicing of commercial clients.
  • Experience using Acturis or another insurance broking system would be advantageous.
  • Working towards Cert CII (or willingness to study) is desirable.
