Are you ready to build your Finance career in a role that gives you real exposure, influence, and room to grow? As Senior Business Planning & Analysis Manager, Finance, you will act as a trusted finance partner to a Therapeutic Area Team, helping them, through your insights and analytics, to make better decisions. This is a strong opportunity for a high-potential finance professional who enjoys solving complex problems with a bold vision, building trusted relationships, and translating financial analysis into impactful business decisions. You will join a supportive team where you can learn the Novartis business, grow your impact, and contribute to decisions that help shape performance across a key part of our organization.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Therapeutic Area leaders to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and portfolio performance.
  • Deliver clear financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support timely business decision-making.
  • Translate complex financial data into practical insights, recommendations, and business storytelling.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes with accuracy, structure, and commercial understanding.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends, recommending actions to improve business outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships across Finance, Marketing, Brand, Market Access, and cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to process improvements, financial tracking, and proactive performance management across the business.
  • Champion digital innovation within the Finance function, including the effective use of AI-enabled tools.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytical capability.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and convert it into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong learning agility, curiosity, and ability to quickly understand new business environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build rapport beyond the immediate function.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to tell a clear story through financial insights.
  • Confidence working with data, financial models, presentations, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a cross-functional environment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, or another complex commercial environment.
  • Professional finance qualification or postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
  • In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
