Senior Commercial Contracts/Construction Lawyer
Midlands Based
£55-£65 per hour inside IR35 (dependent on experience)
Hybrid working
Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client based in the Midlands to facilitate the appointment of an experienced Senior Commercial Contracts/Construction Lawyer to support the legal service with a varied caseload of commercial contracts and construction-related matters.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Advising on a range of commercial contracts matters, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing agreements.
- Providing legal support on construction-related matters, including development and works contracts.
- Advising on contract risk, governance, and compliance, ensuring robust and defensible decision-making.
- Supporting procurement and commissioning activity, including advising through tender processes and contract award.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to progress matters efficiently and pragmatically within service timeframes.

To be successful in the role you will have:
- Significant experience working within a Local Authority (or wider public sector) legal setting.
- Strong technical experience in commercial contracts, ideally with exposure to construction law and related documentation.
- Confidence advising a range of stakeholders and providing clear, practical guidance.
- The ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision and deliver to deadlines.

This role is an initial 6-month contract with likely extension and offering £55-£65 per hour Inside IR35 (dependent on experience). This is a hybrid role, with office attendance required as needed.
