Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial - Belfast (Hybrid)

Remote working within the UK considered

About the company

Our client is a growing technology business that develops specialist software and services.

About the role

This is an opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to take a senior position within a collaborative, growing in-house legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will act as a trusted adviser to the executive leadership team. You will lead on the business’s most complex and high-value commercial matters and help shape how the legal function supports the business as it grows.

The role is based in Belfast on a hybrid basis. For the right candidate, fully remote working from elsewhere in the UK will also be considered.

The role suits someone with strong technology sector experience, gained either in-house or in private practice, and a solid understanding of software and IT solutions, including bids, licensing, procurement, frameworks, renewals, and sales and supply.

What’s on offer

  • A senior role with real influence on the business and regular exposure to executive leadership.
  • Hybrid working from Belfast, with remote working from elsewhere in the UK considered for the right candidate.
  • Openness to flexible working patterns.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Ongoing professional and leadership development.
  • A supportive, inclusive culture that values collaboration and open communication.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
