Insurance & Reinsurance | Business Development | London | £125,000 – £175,000 + Bonus
A genuine opportunity to shape and grow an insurance consulting proposition.
We’re working with an established and entrepreneurial management consultancy that is entering an exciting new phase of growth across the UK insurance and reinsurance market.
This is a high-impact commercial leadership opportunity for an experienced insurance or reinsurance professional with the relationships, market knowledge and commercial drive to build something significant.
The role is not simply about winning work within an established proposition. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the strategy, develop the proposition, build senior-level relationships and establish a strong presence across the market, with the potential for the model to be replicated across other areas of the wider business.
The Opportunity
As Senior Commercial Director, you’ll lead business development across the UK insurance and reinsurance market, using your network and sector expertise to win new clients and opportunities across insurers, reinsurers, MGAs and Lloyd’s businesses.
This is a high-impact role combining origination, senior relationship management and consulting leadership. You’ll shape the insurance proposition, lead pitches and directly influence the future growth of the practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
