Commercial Finance Analyst/Senior Commercial Finance Analyst - Central London | Hybrid Working | - £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus

A leading global retail and hospitality business is looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Analyst / Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join its established commercial finance team in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CIMA / ACCA finalist or newly qualified accountant looking to build their career within a genuinely commercial finance environment.

Working closely with senior finance, operational and commercial stakeholders, you will provide analysis and insight across a broad range of business areas, helping management understand performance, identify opportunities and make better commercial decisions.

The role offers excellent exposure across the organisation and would particularly suit someone with previous experience in a consumer-facing sector such as retail, hospitality, leisure, FMCG or a similar fast-paced environment.

  • Supporting the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
  • Commercial business partnering with operational teams and non-finance stakeholders
  • Sales, margin and profitability analysis
  • Product and category performance reporting
  • Marketing spend and ROI analysis
  • Labour and workforce cost analysis
  • Overhead reporting and cost control
  • Producing regular commercial reporting and management information
  • Identifying key trends, risks and opportunities within business performance
  • Providing commentary and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting commercial decision-making through financial modelling and ad hoc analysis
  • Working with large datasets to generate meaningful business insight

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • CIMA or ACCA finalist, or recently qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Previous commercial finance, FP&A, management accounting or finance analyst experience
  • Ideally gained experience within retail, hospitality, leisure, FMCG or another consumer-facing business
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Confidence working with large and complex datasets
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills
  • The ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach
  • Experience of Power BI or similar reporting / visualisation tools would be advantageous
