Senior Commercial Finance Analyst

Leicester | Permanent | £48,000 - £61,000 DOE | 5 days on site (non-negotiable)

Gleeson have partnered with a large, complex organisation in Leicester to find their new Senior Commercial Finance Analyst.

This is a high-profile role with real scope to put your mark on the way cashflow and commercial finance are managed, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based full time on site (5 days per week) in Leicester. Please only consider applying if you live locally and are able to honour this.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst:

  • Own and develop cashflow forecasting and financial modelling across multiple areas of a large, complex organisation
  • Lead weekly cashflow reviews, explaining movements and key drivers
  • Build scenario analysis and support twice-yearly cashflow budgeting process
  • Partner with Commercial, Operations, Warehouse, Payroll, and Treasury
  • Forecast the impact of stock, Capex, balance sheet, and intercompany movements
  • Produce complex reconciliations and insightful analysis
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting
  • Management of one direct report and two international reports

What we're looking for

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong technical finance and analytical skills
  • Proven experience in cashflow forecasting and modelling
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to challenge and influence
  • Comfortable presenting financial information to senior stakeholders

Experience

  • Experience with a large ERP systems essential

This is not a traditional number-crunching role! We're looking for someone commercially minded who can understand the story behind the numbers and communicate it confidently.
