Senior Commercial Finance Analyst

London | Hybrid Working (2 days per week)

Salary: £65k to £70k per annum

Looking for a role where you can combine commercial finance, investment analysis and business partnering to directly influence key business decisions?

We’re partnering with a leading international business to appoint a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst into its Commercial Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to gain exposure to major commercial contracts and investments, while working closely with senior Finance, Commercial and Operational stakeholders.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in analysing the performance of major investments and commercial contracts, providing insight into what is driving performance and helping shape future investment and pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing post-investment reviews and comparing original business cases against actual financial and operational performance
  • Analysing revenue, margin, EBITDA, capex and opex to identify key performance drivers
  • Reviewing the profitability and performance of major commercial contracts and investments
  • Supporting investment appraisals and business cases, using historical performance to challenge future assumptions
  • Identifying risks, opportunities and practical actions to improve commercial performance
  • Supporting pricing analysis, rate cards and pricing governance
  • Building financial models and undertaking detailed commercial analysis
  • Partnering closely with Finance, Commercial, Sales and Operational teams
  • Presenting analysis, findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

About You

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with:

  • Strong experience within Commercial Finance, FP&A, Business Partnering or a similar analytical role
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
  • Good understanding of P&L, revenue, margin and EBITDA drivers
  • Experience analysing business cases, investments, commercial contracts or project profitability
  • Ability to turn complex financial information into clear commercial insight and recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Confidence challenging assumptions and working with senior stakeholders

Previous exposure to pricing, commercial bids, rate cards or investment appraisal would be advantageous.
