Senior Commercial Finance Analyst
Leading Consumer Group
£60,000 - £70,000 + bonus & great benefits
London offices – hybrid 3 days office pw
About the Role
My client is looking for a commercially minded Senior Finance Analyst to partner with Commercial teams across the business. You will provide financial insight, challenge performance and help senior stakeholders make informed commercial decisions.
The role combines financial reporting, forecasting, business partnering and commercial analysis, with exposure to strategic projects and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own weekly and monthly reporting across sales, margin, profit and key commercial KPIs.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, challenging assumptions and highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Act as a trusted finance partner to senior commercial and digital stakeholders.
- Analyse trading performance and provide clear, actionable insight to improve profitability.
- Build business cases and financial models for new initiatives, investments and commercial opportunities.
- Assess the financial impact of trading, marketing and promotional activity.
- Support strategic projects by providing financial analysis and commercial input.
- Present clear financial information and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with wider finance and commercial teams to deliver business priorities.

About You
- Ideally fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Strong commercial finance or finance business partnering experience.
- Experience working with senior non-finance stakeholders.
- Ideally experience in a consumer facing business such as hospitality, retail, FMCG etc. but not essential.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with financial systems.
- Commercially curious, proactive and comfortable challenging the status quo.
- Able to turn complex financial information into clear business recommendations.
