The Role: Senior Business Finance Specialist

What You’ll Do

As a Commercial Finance Broker, your mission is to accelerate access to finance for small businesses while consistently delivering outstanding customer service.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Customer & Sales:
    • Engage and manage Small Business customers through finance applications
    • Outbound prospecting via CRM (lending, invoice financing, asset-based lending, etc.)
    • Collaborate with Lead Generation teams, offering insights and feedback
    • Build long-term lender relationships—coordinate with our 100+ lending partners for optimal match success

  • Data & Sales Operations:

    • Gather, analyse, and update Salesforce records for all prospects/interactions
    • Identify financing trends and share knowledge across teams
    • Stay current on competitor victories, market shifts, and pricing changes
  • sales Expertise:

    • Master Tide’s Funding Options proposition
    • Demystify business finance—clearly explain options (revolving credit, term loans, overdrafts, asset financing etc.)
    • Upsell and cross-sell—identify members’ needs beyond finance, e.g., invoicing, accounting
  • Outstanding Service Mentality:

    • Deliver 5-star customer experiences—even if financing isn’t immediately approved
    • Troubleshoot issues with proactive, member-centric solutions
    • Document outcomes—share successes and lessons with the team

What Makes You a Great Fit?

We’re looking for a commercial finance specialist with a mix of talent, grit, and intuition—someone who enjoys helping businesses access capital development.

  • Experience in Commercial Finance (Preferred):
    • Proven track record in sales, mortgage broking, business lending, or partner advisory
  • Sales Skills:
    • Fluency in outbound prospecting, sales forecasting, and revenue targets
  • Problem-SolvingMindset:
    • Results-driven, with a proven ability to exceed targets
    • Challenged by complex financial questions, can articulate solutions clearly
  • Authenticity & Customer Service:
    • Honesty and transparency in all interactions
    • Passionate about helping SMEs navigate finance—even when the answer might be "no"
  • Desired Mindset Traits:
    • Self-starter, analytical, detail-oriented
    • Under pressure, can juggle multiple deadlines without compromising quality
    • Preference for structured systems but open to disrupting old processes
