Senior Commercial Finance Manager - Catering

37.5 hours p/w (Mon-Fri)

Hybrid: 2 days in Toddington central support office

As the Senior Commercial Finance Manager for our Catering business you will business partner the Trading Director and leadership team, delivering commercial insight and challenge with your team to drive value into the business and ensure a well controlled environment across gross margin. This role is a senior member of the finance leadership team and leads a team of one professional.

You will be responsible for

  • Partnering Trading Director for Catering and leadership team
  • Support the execution of business plan across the estate through commercial insight and challenge
  • Weekly insight and analysis into performance across each brand
  • Period end accounting, reporting and analysis delivering robust gross margin accounting, drivers analysis
  • Decision making support following weekly or monthly analysis
  • Ownership of Catering brands performance reviews
  • Ownership of Catering brands financial planning; budgets, forecast, and the management of risks and ops
  • Lead and develop high performing team of one
  • Ensure key financial controls and processes are well managed and controlled
  • Continuous Improvement of controls & processes to support new and existing initiatives both within Finance
  • Support in the broader leadership of the finance team
  • Ad hoc reporting, analysis & project work

What we're looking for:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • Strong commercial experience preferably within a multi site organisation (Catering/FMCG/Retail)
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets
  • Commercial thinking with the ability to influence, communicate, create action and deliver results
  • Business partnering experience across all levels and effective stakeholder management skills
  • Solid understanding of all financial statements and the importance of financial integrity and control
  • Strong relationship‑builder who collaborates well across Finance, Commercial and operations.
  • High accuracy, strong organisational skills and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
  • Curious individual that can operate both within the detail but also at a top level/total business impact view
