Senior Commercial Manager
We’re working with a leading organisation operating in the complex defence environment, who are looking to appoint an proactive Senior Commercial Manager to join their team.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for driving commercial performance across a portfolio of complex contracts, from negotiation and contract development through to in-life management, change and claims with access to senior stakeholders right across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the commercial management of key contracts
- Working closely with Business Development & Bid Management functions
- Negotiating and managing contracts with major customers, suppliers and government entities
- Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risk
- Managing contractual change, claims, opportunities and obligations
- Providing commercial insight and guidance to senior stakeholders
- Supporting pricing, margin, cash flow and broader commercial decision-making
- Driving improvements across contract governance, compliance and commercial processes
- Building strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

- Significant experience in commercial management / complex contracting
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience managing contracts throughout the full lifecycle
- Strong understanding of commercial risk, pricing, margin and financial impact
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ideally, experience within aerospace, defence or another complex/high-tech environment
- Experience working with MOD/DOD contracts would be advantageous
Location: Dorset – Hybrid
Salary: £75,000–£85,000 + benefits
