We are seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Senior Commercial Manager to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in driving successful delivery across a diverse portfolio of complex projects.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals on programmes spanning rail, transportation, energy, defence, utilities, aviation, and major public infrastructure. Your role
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be a trusted adviser to project teams and clients, providing senior commercial leadership across the project lifecycle.
You will:
- Lead commercial and contractual management activities across major infrastructure commissions.
- Provide strategic commercial advice to clients, project directors, and delivery teams.
- Apply expertise in NEC contracts and commercial governance to maximise project outcomes.
- Support the successful delivery of complex projects from business case through to completion.
- Develop strong client relationships and become a trusted commercial partner.
- Identify opportunities for growth whilst supporting business development initiatives across Scotland and the wider UK.
- Contribute to bids, fee proposals, and commercial strategies for major opportunities.
- Mentor and develop emerging commercial professionals, helping to build the next generation of talent.
- Collaborate with colleagues nationally and internationally to share best practice and deliver innovative solutions.
- Support financial performance, forecasting, and commercial reporting across project portfolios.

About you
We are looking for an individual who combines commercial excellence with strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
You will ideally have:
- Significant experience delivering commercial services on major infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management best practice.
- Experience across sectors such as transportation, rail, highways, utilities, energy, defence, or major civil engineering schemes.
- Excellent stakeholder and client engagement skills.
- A proven ability to influence project outcomes and support strategic decision-making.
- Experience in managing risk, opportunity, and commercial governance on complex programmes.
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing others.
- Professional accreditation such as MRICS, MCInstCES, or equivalent.
- A growth mindset and enthusiasm for working across regional, national, and international markets.
