We’re currently looking for Senior Commercial Manager on a full-time, fixed term basis until September 2027. This position sits within the Financial Planning & Performance team. We are flexible on the location of this role.
The Senior Commercial Manager provides strategic commercial and financial advice across ACCA, supporting strategic projects, product development, new business investment, and opportunities for commercial improvement. The role provides robust financial analysis and modelling to support effective decision-making, assess commercial viability and deliver sustainable financial outcomes for the organisation.
The Job
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Performance on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:
- Developing fit-for-purpose financial models which form the basis of financial business cases for multi-year strategic projects and smaller scale investments
- Acting as the Finance gatekeeper for new business investment initiatives
- Supporting financial/commercial discussions with external suppliers, working with our Procurement and Contract Management team to ensure that ACCA continually achieves value for money in all external relationships
- Building an expert knowledge of the ACCA customer journey and core products, and leading activities including development of customer-focussed modelling to generate actionable insights
- Acting as Secretary for the Discount Governance Group (DGG), the group is responsible for monitoring discount consumption on core income lines, approving new discounting initiatives and reviewing the performance of existing initiatives
- Supporting the wider Finance team in any activities necessary to ensure the efficient running of the department.

The Person
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Commercial experience gained within a multi-channel or a high-volume customer business
- Ability to develop financial models from scratch which are tailored to the particular task and can be adapted to add more or less complexity as required.
- Strong ability to influence others, including those at levels above
- Experience of working within a matrix organisation structure to achieve common goals
- Direct experience of supporting delivery of large scale change (£10m+)
- Experience working collaboratively with and the ability to challenge senior stakeholders.
