Commission: uncapped commission, where applicable

Contract: Permanent, full-time

At Mark Allen, we create specialist content, events, data and insight for professional communities across sectors that matter.

About the Role

As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead commercial growth across our Dentistry portfolio while also supporting the development of new opportunities across the OPTICIAN portfolio. You will drive revenue, win and develop strategic client partnerships, and identify opportunities for expansion across media, digital, events, recruitment, and data solutions.

This is a senior role for an experienced, commercially astute sales professional who wants ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape growth across two specialist healthcare portfolios. You will be trusted to make things happen, encouraged to contribute ideas, and supported by experienced colleagues as you build your career in a specialist media business with genuine career pathways.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take commercial ownership of revenue growth across the MA Dentistry portfolio
  • Lead the development of high-value new business opportunities and strategic client partnerships
  • Manage and grow key existing accounts, identifying opportunities for increased spend, cross-selling, and longer-term partnerships
  • Develop integrated commercial solutions across media, digital, events, recruitment, and data that deliver measurable value for clients
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business and strategic revenue opportunities, while taking ownership of key opportunities
  • Identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential new revenue streams across the dental sector
  • Apply relevant knowledge, relationships, sales approaches, and commercial propositions from MA Dentistry to identify and develop growth opportunities within OPTICIAN
  • Help establish and develop new client relationships within the optical market, adapting successful Dentistry propositions where relevant
  • Attend and represent the business at key industry events, exhibitions, and conferences, building senior-level relationships and strengthening market presence
  • Work closely with editorial, production, and marketing teams, providing commercial insight and influencing the development of successful products, campaigns, and partnerships.
  • Contribute to new products, services, sponsorship opportunities, and commercial initiatives across the portfolios.
  • Provide market and client insight to senior leadership to support portfolio strategy and future growth.
  • Support budget ownership and delivery, with a focus on sustainable revenue growth and portfolio expansion

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
