Senior Commercial Manager – Healthcare PFI
Location: Worcester / Bristol / Oxford
Salary: Up to £80,000 (DOE) + package
Sector: Healthcare / PFI
About the Role
We are working with a leading organisation looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to support a portfolio of healthcare PFI contracts across Worcester, Bristol, and Oxford.
This is a senior, post-contract focused role suited to an experienced Commercial Manager who is comfortable managing complex contractual relationships, challenging customers, and commercial disputes.
The Role
You will take ownership of the commercial management of established PFI contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are understood, managed, and delivered while protecting the commercial position of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of healthcare PFI contracts post-award
- Managing contractual disputes, claims, variations, and commercial issues
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Reviewing contractual obligations, risks, and opportunities
- Supporting negotiations with customers and key stakeholders
- Providing commercial advice to operational and senior management teams
- Managing contract performance and financial outcomes
- Ensuring contractual governance and reporting requirements are met
- Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
About You
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with strong post-contract and contract management experience.

Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working within a PFI environment
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Experience managing disputes, claims, and challenging contractual situations
- Confidence dealing with demanding customers and senior stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of a contract portfolio
Experience within healthcare, FM, infrastructure, or a similar environment would be advantageous.
This is a senior opportunity for someone who enjoys the more complex side of commercial management and is comfortable managing challenging contractual situations.
