About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of a major digital transformation programme within a high-profile public sector organisation. This is a hands-on interim assignment focused on delivering complex, outcome-based digital procurements. You will lead the commercial work stream rather than act as the overall programme manager. You will take ownership of the commercial strategy and delivery of several multi-million-pound digital procurements, helping to drive the programme from strategy through to evaluation and contract award.
Your New Role
- Leading end-to-end public sector digital procurements from strategy through to award and mobilisation.
- Developing commercially robust, outcome-based procurement models.
- Managing framework competitions and Procurement Act 2023 compliant routes to market.
- Drafting procurement documentation, evaluation methodologies and commercial contracts.
- Designing pricing models, KPIs, SLAs, performance measures and contract governance arrangements.
- Providing commercial expertise and guidance to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
- Managing procurement risks, assurance requirements and supplier engagement activities.
- Supporting knowledge transfer and capability development across the wider commercial and digital teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
