More About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to drive the Produce Division growth opportunity for Myton Food Group within Morrisons and with New Customers, specifically focused on our Fruit Packing capability. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will take full ownership of delivering the sales plan across the Fruit Categories for fulfilling our ambition of significant growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and executing a 1 to 3-year plan to deliver revenue, profit, EBITDA, and margin targets for the category.
  • Driving profitable core business and targeting prospective new business through both strategic and tactical moves to maximise Myton fruit volumes.
  • Managing and developing senior-level relationships with retail customers (Morrisons and prospective clients), buying teams, technical, and NPD teams to become a trusted category partner.
  • Leading and managing the Commercial Account Manager and indirectly guiding Graduate support within Produce.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Site Operations, Finance, Technical, and Insight teams to ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline activity, and operational NPD/EPD delivery.
  • Providing commercial strategy and market insights to the Senior Leadership Team, including detailed analysis of competitor behavior and market trends.
  • Delivering pricing changes effectively to accurately recover all margin and cost price inflation.
  • Driving innovation and category partnerships to enable successful new business wins

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has significant Produce Category experience within a multiple retailer-facing senior role.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of multiple retail produce categories, supply chains, and large-scale launch processes.
  • Is a proven business developer with a track record of driving sustainable growth through insight-driven, persuasive selling.
  • Possesses strong financial acumen, with extensive experience in P&L management, margin mix optimisation, and commercial analysis.
  • Is a tenacious and resilient leader with strong people management skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Is informed and immersed in consumer food trends, with the ability to translate insights into profitable innovation and EBITDA growth.
  • Is flexible and mobile, as this role requires 3 days minimum at our Thrapston site and travel to our core customers and prospects.
