Senior Commercial Manager - Insurance

London (Hybrid, minimum 2 days per week in the office)

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to help drive the next phase of growth in Bionic's Insurance business. Reporting to the Managing Director, Insurance, you'll own commercial performance across our New Business channel and play a key role in shaping strategy, profitability and customer outcomes. You'll work closely with senior leaders to identify growth opportunities, improve performance and deliver measurable business results.

This is a highly visible role with exposure to Executive and Board-level stakeholders, working across Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, Data, Finance and Operations to drive commercial success.

What you'll be doing

  • Own commercial performance across the Insurance New Business channel.
  • Lead forecasting, planning, budgeting and target setting.
  • Use data, customer insight and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and improve customer outcomes.
  • Drive initiatives that improve acquisition, conversion, profitability and performance.
  • Own and communicate the Insurance New Business roadmap.
  • Influence investment decisions across owned, paid and partner acquisition channels.
  • Present performance, opportunities, risks and recommendations to the Insurance Leadership Team and Board.
  • Lead and develop a small team of analysts.

What we're looking for

  • Strong commercial experience in insurance, financial services or another performance-led environment.
  • A track record of improving growth, profitability or customer outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using data and insight to influence senior stakeholders and decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Insurance experience would be beneficial but isn't essential. We're interested in candidates with strong commercial capability, a growth mindset and a proven record of delivering results.
