About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager on the contract delivery side of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where you will play a pivotal role to help drive value, manage commercial risk, and establish strong contractual foundations for project success.
As Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing commercial oversight of contracts along with guidance to other members of the contract commercial team, while working closely with operational and project delivery teams.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that support business objectives and revenue growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and customer value.
- Manage commercial risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are in place.
- Build and maintain strong customer and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Provide guidance and support to other commercial managers working on the same contracts.
- Ensure contractual obligations are clearly understood and effectively managed.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure successful contract delivery including providing commercial guidance to project teams.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition, cost control, forecasting and support business planning and budgeting activities.
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Support audit requirements and risk management processes.
- Control and manage variations, change events, and contract administration processes including development of pricing.
- Support continuous improvement of commercial processes and governance frameworks.

Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Senior Commercial or Contracts Manager role including managing change and providing support to other team members.
- Very strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence project outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Very strong negotiation, commercial reporting and cost management skills.
- Experience supporting operational teams.
- Very high attention to detail with strong analytical capability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Experience in risk management.
- Advanced skills across the Microsoft suite, in particular Excel and Word.

Location
The role is hybrid where 3-4 days per week will be spent in KBR and / or client offices across Aldermaston, Reading, London and Surrey.
Security Requirements
- DV Clearance must already be held or able to be achieved.
- Due to the secure nature of this work, restrictions in relation to UK residency and nationality will apply.
