The business manufactures and installs data centres, mostly located close to the western section of the M25. This includes hyperscale data centres and the pipeline of future projects has created the need to strengthen the commercial team.

Role Overview
The Senior Commercial Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other board members. Leading a small team this is a ‘hands on’ role encompassing pre-contract work (building strong relationships with the existing supply chain and customers) and post contract covering site project delivery of major schemes in excess of £100m.
Skills and Experience Required
- A degree in Quantity Surveying and/or MRICS.
- A minimum of 10 years relevant post graduate industry experience, at least 5 years of which must have been spent with building contractors based in the UK.
- Site based experience on major projects (minimum £50m construction value).
- Strong knowledge of the full commercial management processes – subcontract procurement; cost/value reporting; negotiation of changes with clients/consultants; payments; final accounts etc.
- Experience working in alliance/partnership arrangements is especially relevant.
- Experience leading a small team and training and developing team members.

Company Overview
BladeRoom Data Centres has a strong pipeline of future schemes running into the 2030’s and is planning for long term growth with an excellent track record of delivery, established client and supply chain relationships. This appointment will be crucial in managing all commercial aspects in this future growth.
The role requires being office based full time in Staverton, near Cheltenham, not on a hybrid basis. We will consider relocation for candidates based beyond reasonable commuting distance where applicable.
