Company Description
In this role, you will be part of an experienced and ambitious UK commercial team, where collaboration, ownership, and commercial growth are key. Working closely with the Commercial Controller, sales, and marketing colleagues, you will combine strategic account management with new business development to strengthen Aviko’s position in the UK Foodservice market.
You will take ownership of key wholesaler, distributor, and end-user relationships across the UK, developing strong partnerships and identifying opportunities to drive sustainable and profitable growth. With full P&L responsibility for your portfolio, you will play an important role in shaping and executing Aviko’s route-to-market strategy. This is a high-impact commercial role for an experienced foodservice professional who wants to make a visible contribution to Aviko’s continued growth in the UK.
Job Description
- You manage and develop strong relationships with key UK foodservice wholesalers, distributors, and key end users, with national coverage.
- You drive both new business development and growth within existing accounts, identifying opportunities to expand distribution, range, and customer value.
- You develop and execute a cohesive route-to-market strategy in close collaboration with senior commercial colleagues.
- You create and implement strategic account plans, ensuring a clear understanding of customer needs and translating these into commercially valuable solutions.
- You work closely with sales, marketing, NPD, commercial operations, production, and quality teams to deliver solutions for customers.
- You actively develop relationships with key decision-makers and buying groups within customer organizations.
- You identify opportunities for range and portfolio development, cross-selling, and upselling to increase long-term customer value.
- You take full P&L responsibility for your portfolio and ensure delivery against revenue, margin, and budget targets.
- You lead commercial negotiations and use strong sales processes to create sustainable and profitable customer relationships.
- You represent Aviko professionally in the UK foodservice market and contribute to the wider commercial strategy.

Qualifications
- You are an experienced commercial professional with a strong track record in the UK foodservice market and extensive experience working with wholesalers, distributors, and/or manufacturers.
- Proven experience as a Senior/National Account Manager, Commercial Manager, or Controller within foodservice.
- Strong experience managing and developing wholesalers, distributors, and key customer relationships.
- Demonstrable track record in new business development and customer acquisition.
- Commercially astute with experience managing your own P&L.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and strategic key account management skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including marketing, NPD, commercial operations, production, and quality.
- Strong understanding of range and portfolio management, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute route-to-market strategies.
- Tenacious, self-driven, and results-oriented, with excellent communication and listening skills.
- Strong affinity with the food and drink industry; experience working with chefs is desirable.
- A collaborative mindset and strong belief in a one-team culture.
- Based in the South of England, ideally around the M4 corridor, and willing to travel nationally.
