Job Description

Eaton MSD Cheltenham are looking for a Senior Commercial Officer to join the Commercial team. As a member of the Commercial team, you will actively support the winning and delivery of profitable business and provide commercial advice, support and governance to the business at all levels. You will ensure the company contracts with customers and suppliers on terms that protect the Commercial interests of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective day-to-day management of customer contracts, including customer relationship management on contractual matters
  • Prepare, review and negotiate agreements and contracts including, but not limited to Framework Agreements, Development Contracts, MoUs, NDAs/PIAs, Agency Agreements, Software Licences, PDS Contracts & Teaming Agreements
  • Provide commercial and contractual inputs to bid teams and support the winning of new business
  • Assist in the identification of commercial risk and development and implementation of effective mitigation strategies
  • Provide sound advice to Customer Services, Customer Support, Project, Operations and Procurement teams on contractual matters
  • Support Operations and Project teams in the identification of contract change/scope creep
  • Develop and support the negotiation of flow down terms and conditions to Suppliers
  • Database management including uploading documents, creating new records for contracts and services, calculating payments and price adjustments
  • Liaison with the Trade Compliance team to ensure compliance with regulation export control regulations
  • Ensure and maintain effective commercial governance in accordance with policies, procedures and processes
  • Support government contracting price investigations and audits.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree educated in a Business or related subject is essential. Post-graduation Commercial certifications (such as WCC) would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years prior Commercial experience in an aerospace, defence or a related technology industry, demonstrating all, or substantially all, of the above responsibilities.
