Senior Commercial Opportunities
HyKit | Bicester | Permanent
HyKit is looking for experienced commercial professionals to support our commercial growth by identifying, nurturing and progressing new customer opportunities across our clean-fuels and hydrogen portfolio. We're open to hearing from senior commercial individuals regardless of your exact previous job title, what matters most is proven B2B sales or business development experience at this level.
This is an opportunity to build an active pipeline of prospects across priority sectors, including Construction, Agriculture, Materials Handling Equipment, Marine, Aviation and other industrial users, and play a key role in HyKit's commercial expansion.
About HyKit
HyKit designs and delivers hydrogen infrastructure solutions, including mobile refuelling, gas storage and compression systems. Working at the forefront of clean energy and industrial technology, we develop rugged, modular products engineered for demanding environments across construction, transport and agriculture.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll be responsible for day-to-day business development activity, including market research, prospecting, initial outreach, preparing for customer meetings, capturing customer requirements and coordinating internal inputs to develop compelling proposals.
You'll maintain accurate opportunity records, support disciplined sales management and reliable forecasting, and represent HyKit in selected customer interactions and industry forums.

Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective hydrogen and clean-fuel customers across priority sectors, building profiles of target organisations and potential demand
- Undertake outbound prospecting through emails, calls and event follow-up to secure introductory meetings and qualify initial interest
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records of all leads and opportunities, including contacts, meeting notes and opportunity stage
- Participate in customer meetings alongside the Commercial Director, capturing requirements and following up to keep opportunities moving through the sales process
- Draft concise opportunity summaries and qualification notes for internal review
- Coordinate inputs from internal teams to help assemble customer-specific proposals, preparing draft sections, slide decks and commercial summaries
- Support the preparation of indicative pricing, commercial proposals and volume profiling to help progress customer opportunities
- Monitor tenders, framework opportunities, competitor announcements and policy developments relevant to the sector
- Contribute to routine reporting on pipeline health, including volume, mix, stage and conversion trends
About You
- Proven B2B sales or business development experience (5+ years) in energy, fuels, transport, industrials, infrastructure or a closely related sector
- Demonstrated experience prospecting, building customer relationships and progressing opportunities through a structured sales process
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to engage customers at both operational and commercial levels
- Good commercial awareness and numeracy, with an understanding of pricing structures and project economics
- Organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain accurate records
- A proactive self-starter who is comfortable managing an outbound prospecting pipeline independently

- Exposure to hydrogen, clean fuels, EV charging or wider decarbonisation solutions
- Experience selling into public sector organisations, transport operators or industrial customers
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and disciplined opportunity management
- Understanding of tender and framework procurement processes
