The Opportunity

As a Senior Commercial & Pricing Analyst, you will leverage your specialised skills and technical expertise to analyse complex data, model pricing scenarios, and develop insightful recommendations that support the firm's strategic goals and outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with the Commercial & Pricing Managers and the wider commercial team, including Business Managers and those involved in matter management and client initiatives, informing pricing decisions, optimising profitability, and enhancing the firm's competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting strategic pricing initiatives across the region, fostering a strong commercial mindset within regional teams.
  • Collaborating closely with lawyers, business development, and other stakeholders to build trust, understanding, and alignment around pricing strategies.
  • Optimising pricing and profitability on client RFPs, leveraging financial expertise.
  • Providing support on major bids, tenders, and client rate reviews, taking a client-facing role when necessary.
  • Supporting compelling pricing proposals for new products and services, including Advance and Consulting offerings.
  • Supporting the firm's annual rate review process, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Developing and maintaining robust pricing tools, models, and platforms to support informed decision-making.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our London office with hybrid working.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in finance or similar environment, with at least 1 year focusing on legal pricing or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial principles, commercial strategy, and value-based pricing (e.g., profitability, percentage growth, inflation).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., financial modelling, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • The ability to build and influence relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
