Astute’s Nuclear Team Partnership Opportunity

Astute’s Nuclear Team is partnering with a global nuclear business who provide engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and technical services to the nuclear industry, supporting the design, operation, maintenance, and life extension of nuclear power plants. They are looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Project Manager for its Bristol office.

The Senior Commercial Project Manager comes with a salary up to £85,000 per annum and a wealth of benefits.

The Senior Commercial Project Manager will act in a deputy capacity to the Head of Nuclear New Build and will be responsible for company strategy and operational objectives.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Commercial Project Manager

Reporting to the Head of Business Line, you will:

  • Support the Head of Business Line in delivering strategic objectives and business performance.
  • Lead operational activities to drive growth, efficiency, profitability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee successful project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Support business development through tender preparation, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to optimise resource planning, capability development, and workload management.
  • Monitor business performance, reporting, forecasting, and governance to achieve commercial targets.
  • Act as deputy to the Head of Business Line, providing leadership and representing the business when required.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • An engineering degree with a background in Engineering, Commercial, or project management
  • Project Management qualification

Personal skills

The Senior Commercial Project Manager would suit someone who is:

  • Experienced in project management/delivery
  • Previously led supported bids, tenders, and business development
  • Well versed with nuclear projects.

Salary and benefits of the Senior Commercial Project Manager role

  • A base salary between £65,000 – £85,000 depending on experience
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • 9% pension (minimum of 1% contributions from you)
