Senior Commercial Property Solicitor
Location: South Wales - Cardiff or Swansea
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: to £70k
PQE: 2-5+ years
The Opportunity
An established and growing South Wales law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive to join its expanding Commercial Property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within a modern, client-focused firm, working with a diverse client base and handling a broad range of commercial property matters.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own caseload, work on interesting and varied transactions, develop client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
The Role
You will be responsible for a varied commercial property caseload, including:
- Commercial leases and Landlord & Tenant matters, including grants, assignments, licences, rent deposits, and surrenders.
- Estate management and ongoing property matters.
- Acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold commercial property.
- Commercial and residential development work, including site acquisitions, options, conditional contracts, promotion agreements, and plot sales.
- Secured lending and real estate finance.
- Agricultural land transactions and renewable energy projects.
- Property due diligence in support of corporate transactions.
- Lease extensions, enfranchisement, and complex title issues.
- Portfolio transactions and compulsory purchase matters.
- Progressing files efficiently and maintaining strong financial performance.
- Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships.
- Contributing to business development and networking activities.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.

About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive in England & Wales.
- Have 2-5+ years' PQE with solid Commercial Property experience.
- Be confident managing their own caseload independently.
- Have strong technical knowledge across a broad range of commercial property matters.
- Possess excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Have a proactive, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and client-management skills.
- Be commercially minded and keen to contribute to the growth of the department.
- Have an interest in supervising and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Be collaborative and team focused.
