Job Title: Senior Commercial Broker
Location: Leeds
Salary: £30,000 – £55,000 (DOE)

About the Company:
This independent insurance brokerage has been built by a highly experienced leadership team with a proven track record of scaling businesses. The firm has created a modern, people and client first environment in Leeds, with strong income growth and increasing mid-market traction, the business is entering its next phase of expansion.
Role Summary:
This is a key hire within a growing broking team, supporting an influx of mid-market and corporate clients. You’ll take ownership of complex risks, work closely with Account Executives, and play a central role in mentoring junior brokers. The position offers autonomy, exposure to higher-value cases, and the opportunity to shape both client outcomes and team development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mid-market and corporate risks: Handle complex cases across a range of sectors, delivering tailored insurance solutions
- Build insurer relationships: Strengthen open market connections to support effective manual broking
- Support and mentor junior brokers: Contribute to team capability while developing leadership experience
- Handle renewals and large premium cases cradle to grave: Maintain high standards across key client portfolios
- Collaborate with Account Executives: Support new business growth and overall team performance

Requirements:
- Strong commercial insurance broking experience across multiple product lines
- Experience handling mid-market or corporate risks with open market broking exposure
- Proven ability to build relationships with insurers in the open market
- Broad product knowledge
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support and develop others
