Commissioning Engineer
Location: Overseas Offshore
Contract Length: Initial 12-month contract
Rotation: 5 Weeks On / 5 Weeks Off
Rate: £70-80 per hour
Working Hours: 12-hour days (including travel days)
Key Responsibilities
- Commission, test and support ABB automation and control systems
- Program, configure and modify ABB AC800M controllers
- Work with ABB 800xA distributed control systems
- Support and maintain Safeguard legacy systems, including programming and modifications
- Carry out commissioning activities in accordance with project schedules and safety procedures
- Diagnose and resolve control system issues during commissioning and start-up
- Produce commissioning documentation and provide technical support throughout project delivery
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project completion

Essential Requirements
- Proven commissioning experience within offshore or process industry environment
- Strong hands-on experience with ABB 800xA
- Experience programming ABB AC800M controllers
- Experience working with and programming Safeguard legacy systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex automation and control systems
- Strong understanding of commissioning procedures and safe systems of work
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Experience
- Previous offshore commissioning experience
- Experience on oil & gas, energy, or other process industry projects
- Relevant offshore certification (or willingness to obtain prior to mobilization)
