Founded in 2014, Oxa is a global leader in autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, dedicated to accelerating Industrial Mobile Autonomy (IMA).
We develop advanced physical AI and robotics technology, anchored around our configurable and explainable self-driving software, Oxa Driver; development toolchain, Oxa Foundry; and fleet management software, Oxa Hub. We utilise hardware blueprints known as Reference Autonomy Designs (RADs) to enable the integration of sensors, compute and drive-by-wire systems into existing vehicles produced by OEMs.
Our solutions automate repetitive industrial driving tasks, such as the towing and carrying of goods in locations like ports, airports and manufacturing facilities, or asset and perimeter monitoring in environments such as solar farms or industrial plants. We’re helping global businesses to address critical challenges like labour shortages and rising operational costs - driving efficiency, productivity, and safety.
Based in Oxford, and with offices in Canada, our engineering team is drawn from the world’s top physical AI specialists and led by originators of the field.
Your Role
- Own the development, standardisation, and continuous improvement of the vehicle commissioning process, ensuring a seamless, reliable end-to-end workflow.
- Lead the development of system-level tooling and documentation to support the commissioning process, reducing manual overhead and human error in the process.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary (and multicultural) teams (sensors, compute, software deployment etc.) to integrate their specific processes and validation requirements into the wider commissioning pipeline.
- Enable non-expert users (e.g. third-party integrators) to execute the process by organising / delivering training and creating support mechanisms to ensure commissioning happens smoothly.
- This role requires regular presence in the workshop to capture requirements and develop a hands-on understanding of the gaps in the process and tools.
- This role will also require extensive travel to the UAE for seconded periods of time.

What you need to succeed
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly working with hardware and across the hardware-software boundary.
- Process development, with a focus on creating reliable, streamlined workflows that others can easily scale and follow.
- Able to manage workload and adapt quickly in the face of physical build and schedule challenges.
- Able to work flexibly with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to capture software and process requirements, translating them into reliable tooling and workflows.
- Able to plan and coordinate the delivery of projects with multiple stakeholders across different teams.
- Familiarity with the software development process, particularly in scripting, automation, and building internal tooling (e.g., Python/Bash).
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, communicating technical requirements effectively with software, hardware etc.
