Proven experience purchasing electronic components and managing strategic suppliers within an electronics manufacturing environment.
A leading electronics manufacturing organisation are currently recruiting for a Senior Commodity Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis in Pulborough, West Sussex.

Key responsibilities
- Manage end to end procurement for assigned commodities including quotation, negotiation, PO and contract placement, and order management
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, lead times, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply, cost competitiveness, and quality performance
- Drive supplier performance through reviews, KPIs, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with planning to convert MRP demand into an effective supply plan, managing shortages and delivery risks
- Lead cost reduction initiatives and value engineering activities across allocated commodities
- Maintain accurate purchasing data including pricing, lead times, and supplier information within the ERP system

Key skills and experience required
- Strong understanding of ERP and MRP within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience buying electronic components, PCBAs, and electro mechanical products
- Strong negotiation skills with solid commercial awareness
- Experience delivering cost reduction and supplier improvement projects
- Understanding of supplier quality processes and engineering change management
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office capability with confidence analysing data and reporting
- CIPS qualification level 4 or above is desirable
