We’re looking for an experienced communications and engagement all-rounder to join our corporate communications team. As London’s largest borough we have a lot going on and lots of things our residents, businesses and partners need to know - this role is about doing just that.

From elections to regeneration, engagement to consultation, you’ll be skilled in creating content for a range of communications channels, from socials to print, and confident in media relations. You’ll have experience in tailoring your communications to reach diverse communities, and ready to suggest new ways to make an impact.

Reporting to the external communications and engagement manager, you’ll work closely with our colleagues across the organisation leading on planning, delivering and evaluating communications that support our corporate priorities. We’re looking for someone who is experienced in campaigns and marketing, and ready to work with our communities to encourage them to get them involved.

Internally, you’ll be working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, from our officers on the frontline, to senior leaders and politicians. In addition, you’ll build and maintain strong links with a wide range of our partners, including community groups, contractors and other London boroughs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
