Job Description
UPP is the UK's leading provider of on-campus residential and academic accommodation infrastructure, operating across a diverse portfolio of university partnerships. We're passionate about creating exceptional places for students to live and learn, and we're looking for a talented professional to help strengthen our reputation, engagement, and impact across our business and the higher education sector.
We are looking for a Senior Communications and Marketing Manager to join the team and play a key role in shaping and delivering high-impact corporate marketing and communications activity across the business.
Working closely with the Head of Communications and Marketing, senior leaders, and external stakeholders, you'll lead campaigns, create compelling content, and provide strategic communications support across internal and external communications, digital channels, sector engagement, and business development activity.
This role is based in our award-winning London office near London Bridge, Cannon Street, and Monument stations, offering hybrid working. Occasional travel to our university sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver integrated marketing and communications campaigns aligned to UPP's strategic priorities.
- Create engaging content across digital, social media, website, leadership, and stakeholder channels.
- Support bids, tenders, and business development activity through high-quality communications and marketing materials.
- Lead the production of key corporate publications, reports, and thought leadership content.
- Develop internal communications, colleague engagement campaigns, and leadership communications.
- Support media relations, sector engagement, and stakeholder events.
- Manage external agencies and suppliers, ensuring high-quality delivery and value for money.
- Use data and insights to measure effectiveness and continually improve communications activity.

Requirements
- Experience in a communications and marketing-related role.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working alongside senior leaders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with experience delivering integrated marketing and communications campaigns simultaneously.
- Experience of B2B marketing strategies and proven experience of in-house content creation, managing multiple communication channels and content streams.
- Experience managing proactive and reactive media relations activity, alongside supporting high-profile bids and business development activities.
- A data-driven approach, using insight and analytics to inform decisions and measure impact. Experience using marketing and analytics tools including CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot or similar), Google Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and resilient, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about creating high-quality work, engaging communications, building strong relationships, and overall enhancing UPP's profile and reputation.
- Experience within higher education, infrastructure, property, or similarly complex organizations would be advantageous.

- Salary of c.£65k
