Our Vision & Mission
We believe in a world where everyone, regardless of their country’s wealth or frontiers, enjoys access to medicines and healthcare when they need it. We work tirelessly to provide access to medicines to those in LMIC's.
Who We Are: Accelerating access to medicines for all
Imagine a world where critical medicines are within reach, affordable, and synonymous with quality, no matter where you are. Axmed is building the digital infrastructure that is transforming access to medicines and health products across growth markets.
About the Position:
We have a bold ambition that will impact the lives of billions of patients. We are looking for an exceptional communications leader to make sure the world knows it and convince the relevant stakeholders to join our mission. This is a senior individual-contributor role for a builder and operator. This role comes with significant autonomy, direct access, and an equal high bar for ownership and impact. You will have the mandate to shape how Axmed shows up in the world. You will own our communications strategy, creative ambition, narrative, brand presence, thought leadership, and external visibility.
This is a sleeves-up, hands-on, high-energy role. We expect roughly 70–80% of this role to be hands-on execution, supported by strong strategic judgment and ruthless prioritization. You will set the strategy and personally bring much of it to life: writing, editing, publishing, building decks, shaping campaigns, developing executive content, briefing agencies and partners, improving our digital presence, testing new formats and channels, using data to understand what works, and continuously shipping.
The mandate is simple: make Axmed impossible to ignore among the audiences that matter to our mission and growth.
The Person We’re Looking For:
You are passionate about what you do and an unusually strong communicator and exceptionally skilled storyteller who combines strategic judgment with very high execution capacity.
You can zoom out far enough to shape a company narrative and zoom in close enough to obsess over a headline, slide, caption, sentence, or call to action.
You thrive in fast-paced, tech-first environments and are comfortable operating without a large team, large budget, or elaborate process. Faced with ambiguity, you create clarity. You would rather test a strong idea, learn from the response and improve it than spend weeks perfecting a communications plan nobody sees. You have worked in healthcare before and are intellectually curious enough to become genuinely expert in the subjects Axmed has a right to lead on.
You should bring:
- Extreme ownership, pace, curiosity, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
- Exceptional writing, editing, messaging, and storytelling ability.
- A strong instinct for what makes an idea interesting, credible, distinctive, and shareable.
- Experience building communications, brand, content, or thought leadership in a fast-moving startup.
- The ability to translate technical or complex subject matter into communication that senior stakeholders can quickly understand.
- Experience working directly with CEOs or senior executives on thought leadership and external positioning.
- Strong digital and social instincts and an understanding of how content actually travels.
- Comfort with communications analytics and using evidence to improve performance.
- High proficiency with modern AI tools and a desire to build agentic and automated ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
