About The Role

Step into a pivotal role where you will be at the forefront of shaping public perception and driving brand love for a globally beloved platform. As a Senior Communications Manager, you will lead consumer-facing storytelling, crafting narratives that resonate with culture-makers and consumers, and securing impactful media coverage. Your work will directly influence how the brand is perceived, fostering trust and maintaining its cultural relevance in a key market. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference, bringing creative campaigns to life and building strong relationships that elevate the brand’s presence and impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and execute high-impact, consumer-facing storytelling across campaigns and press office editorial, ensuring cultural relevance.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with consumer media, keeping the brand top of mind.
  • Drive a consistent consumer drumbeat and press office storytelling, maintaining momentum in the news, often managing an external agency.
  • Develop and execute stand-alone campaigns and partnerships that effectively meet strategic goals.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, partnerships, and legal on campaign development and execution.
  • Monitor consumer, cultural, and media trends to inform storytelling that deeply resonates with the audience.
  • Craft compelling narratives to support commercial or co-promotional partnerships, suitable for earned media and social channels.
  • Measure and report on campaign impact, utilizing insights to optimize future efforts and share best practices across the region.
  • Work in conjunction with the influencer manager and corporate communications manager to ensure a cohesive brand story across all channels.
  • Develop comprehensive coverage reports, evaluating and measuring the impact of media placements.

Your Expertise

  • 8-10+ years of communications experience in consumer PR, gained either agency-side or in-house, preferably within lifestyle, tech, internet, or travel sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing creative consumer campaigns that generate positive earned media coverage, widespread awareness, and brand buzz.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and established relationships with key media outlets across consumer, travel, lifestyle, and entertainment.
  • Strong awareness of pop culture with a flair for storytelling and multi-channel campaigns that build reputation, social engagement, and earned media.
  • Confident in leading meetings, delivering presentations, and building strong relationships with external partners, senior internal stakeholders, and media.
  • Skilled at delivering complex, proactive consumer press programs, including research/data-driven stories, trends, campaigns, and press events.
  • Adept at collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, comfortable taking initiative with a bias for action, while appreciating the structures and processes of a global business.
  • Strong project management skills, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, meticulously managing processes, document revisions, budgets, and ensuring timely delivery with a keen eye for detail.

  • Creative thinking and the ability to translate innovative ideas into media-generating tactics that possess cultural relevance and build brand love.
  • A talent for owning and growing relationships with consumer media and emerging media titles to uncover new communication opportunities.
  • Ability to work seamlessly with influencer managers to ensure consumer campaigns and stories are integrated and supported by complementary influencer strategies for maximum impact.
  • A continuous pulse on consumer, cultural, and media trends to keep storytelling relevant and culturally sharp.
  • Strong writing abilities, capable of developing a wide range of materials for diverse audiences (e.g., press releases, story pitches, Q&As, briefs, messaging, presentations).
  • Exceptional attention to detail in campaign planning, measurement, reporting, and budget management.
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate, both internally in cross-functional discussions and externally with suppliers and partners.
  • Proficiency in agency management, ensuring adherence to key processes including campaign project management, reporting, budget tracking, localizations, and performance evaluation to deliver impactful results.
