Senior Communications Officer, Breathe Cities

Location: Nairobi, Accra, Johannesburg, Addis Ababa or London

We're looking for a Senior Communications Officer to help drive the communications behind one of the world's most ambitious urban air quality initiatives, Breathe Cities. Working at the heart of a global partnership between Bloomberg Philanthropies, Clean Air Fund and C40 Cities, you'll help tell powerful stories from cities around the world, coordinate communications across a diverse network of partners, and ensure our digital channels showcase the impact of clean air action.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised communications professional who enjoys bringing structure to complex projects, building strong relationships, and turning ideas into action. You'll work across city teams, agencies and partner organisations to keep communications moving at pace, while maintaining high editorial standards and a consistent global narrative. You'll be equally comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, overseeing agency delivery, planning communications activity, and translating complex information into engaging content for a range of audiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
